What is fnaf?

This is practically all of the animatronics
I'm not too sure it's all of them

Five Nights at Freddy’s, more commonly known as fnaf, is a series of games created by Scott Cawthon in 2014. The game series is still being expanded, a new game coming out next year in January or February. The first four games are quite similar in game play as you play as a security guard trying to survive the night shift at Freddy Fazzbear’s Pizzeria, checking the animatronics on the security cameras. The other games are more interactive with the animatronics having you fix them or walk across their rooms to get to the maintenance rooms.

The lore

In the mid to late 80s a chain of pizzerias opened across America, called Freddy Fazzbear’s pizzeria. Other children’s restaurants had animatronics on stage, this chain of pizzerias had animatronics that could move around and interact with the children. The animatronics were Freddy the bear, Bonnie the rabbit, Chica the Chicken and Foxy the fox. Business was going well until the bite of 87 and business went downhill. They changed the animatronics so it was only at night they would move around. Soon after 5 children went missing and people started to notice the terrible smell and strange gunk coming from the animatronics. The police later arrested an unnamed suspect and the children were never found. The animatronics were starting to malfunction, so they had to hire a security guard to do a night shift until 6am or however long he lasted. After that they decided to open a new branch with brand new animatronics including toy Bonnie, toy Chica, toy Freddy, Balloon boy, the Puppet and Mangle. The toy animatronic were just like the first, the puppet made sure the children were safe in the restaurant, balloon boy gave out balloons and mangle was an animatronic the children could take apart and put back together.

That is all I can really explain without it getting confusing because there is still so much to this before and after with lots more animatronics. To explain some of it simply the owner of the restaurant lured children away from their families and killed them then put them in the animatronics, the children’s spirits went on the haunt the suits, when all of the children were killed they wanted revenge and one night chased after him and he hid in one of the spring locked suits and got crushed in it, now he haunts that suit and in the next game the building burns down with all the animatronics in including him, that is not the end but its too much to get into now.

My animation will be based around the time the children went missing, so the child in my animation will be one of those children who gets lured away from their group and killed then put into one of the animatronics.

Why I chose fnaf?

I chose fnaf to do an animation about because I am a fan of the games although I have never played the because I am poor and I enjoy watching people play them instead such as GTLive and Jacksepticeye. The original idea I had of doing this as fanart I thought would be even better as an animation. 

What is animation?

Animation is when a figure moved to convey some sort of movement. Animation is usually used for entertainment most commonly for children.

Types of animation:

Traditional animation or hand drawn animation is conveying movement by drawing that movement by drawing each frame slightly different and when put together, like a flip book, makes that movement. This was the dominant form of animation until the advent of computer animation.
Here is an animation of an eye blinking that I did. It is digital traditional animation. 
Digital traditional animation is when the frames are drawn on a computer in a software  then similarly like just traditional, the frames are put together to make the movement. 

 

3D animation is using 3D models to convey movement, 3D models are easier to animate or control unlike traditional or stop motion, it is also the faster way to animate hence why it is the most common form of animation these days and most commonly associated with children's entertainment because it's easy and fast to animate a simple idea that children will enjoy.

Stop-motion animation is using clay models to convey motion. The animator moves the model slightly takes a picture and moves the model slightly again then takes a picture etc. the pictures are then loaded into editing software, then the frames per second is changes so the models look like they are fluidly moving.
